Senior ETL (Informatica) & SQL Engineer

Overview

Senior ETL and SQL Engineer responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting Informatica ETL workflows, SQL code, databases, and data platforms.

What you'll do

• Analyze data requirements, source-to-target mappings, transformations, and data-quality needs.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and support Informatica ETL workflows and scheduling processes.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, database code, and data-processing logic.
• Design and enhance data models, database tables, relationships, and data structures.
• Troubleshoot ETL failures, data issues, SQL performance concerns, and production incidents.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and document technical solutions.
• Support workshops, code reviews, testing, QA/UAT, delivery planning, and junior associates.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in ETL, SQL, database, application development, or a comparable technical environment.
• Hands-on Informatica experience with workflows, mappings, sessions, transformations, and lookups.
• Experience with Informatica pushdown optimization, parallelization, gpLoad, Workflow Monitor, and Scheduler.
• Strong SQL development and query-optimization skills, including MySQL.
• Working knowledge of T-SQL, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, XML, JSON, UNIX shell scripting, and Git or comparable tools.
• Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, ETL performance issues, and analytical data systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial software, banking, investment, asset management, or portfolio-management industries.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms, client-facing applications, technical workshops, DevOps, deployment automation, or automated testing.
• Knowledge of additional relational or NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
