Senior Fullstack Engineer (Java + React.js)

Overview

Senior Full Stack Engineer for building and scaling Okta Recovery Vault (ORV), which provides enterprise soft-delete and object recovery for identity objects.

What you'll do

• Drive technical design and end-to-end implementation of granular and bulk recovery workflows across backend APIs and the admin console UI.
• Design and build core real-time recovery components that capture deletion events and support scalable data restoration.
• Build responsive, accessible front-end experiences for recovery dashboards, bulk restore flows, and audit views.
• Solve relationship restoration problems (group memberships, app assignments, device enrollments) and keep UI state consistent.
• Implement secure logging and tracking for recovery operations in Syslog for audit and compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis to improve observability.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and scaling production-grade full stack applications.
• Strong object-oriented programming proficiency with extensive experience in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience building modern component-based web UIs using React and TypeScript, including state management and accessibility best practices.
• Solid experience with distributed system patterns, asynchronous job processing, and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and caching strategies (e.g., Redis) for state and high-throughput snapshots.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and consuming them for front-end experiences.
