Senior Indirect Buyer

Overview

The Indirect Buyer fills purchase orders, works with inventory management and other internal departments, forecasts sales by item, and monitors sales performance and trends.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with the supply chain manager to maintain proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis
• Participate as a key contributor in filling purchase orders
• Organize purchasing requisitions
• Participate as a key contributor in developing an accurate and efficient monitoring system
• Collaborate on entering data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information, track purchases and the status of orders and deliveries, and generate purchasing reports and statistics

What you'll need

• A university degree (i.e. Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including suppliers and/or external customers
