Senior Java Engineer

Overview

Senior Java Engineer to join Deutsche Bank’s Abacus application team in Pune. The role involves building and supporting Java-based functionality used in the Investment Bank.

What you'll do

• Design and develop new functionality on Java and optionally Kotlin.
• Work with business and analysts on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Co-work with the QA team on test automation for new and existing functionality.
• Investigate and fix production incidents and improve stability and monitoring.
• Design and implement subsystems and intersystem protocols.

What you'll need

• Several years of experience and excellent knowledge of Java.
• Excellent knowledge of Kotlin is mentioned (nice to have).
• Proficiency in high-load distributed systems design, including consistency models and API tradeoffs.
• Knowledge of algorithms, complexity, and data structures.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Basic knowledge of modern cloud technologies (k8s, ArgoCD, Grafana Tanka).
• Basic knowledge of Linux.
