Senior Manager- Backend

Overview

Senior Manager- Backend will lead long-term strategic and technical engineering contributions, combining hands-on development with oversight of reliability, performance, and delivery.

What you'll do

• Drive strategic planning and execution for backend engineering initiatives.
• Oversee end-to-end development and monitor reliability and performance of internal systems.
• Manage software development projects by setting requirements, goals, and timelines.
• Design and implement strategies for future development projects based on objectives and resources.
• Provide technical oversight, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure delivery on schedule.
• Improve development processes and build onboarding and mentoring programs for engineers.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Have 12+ years of engineering experience delivering complex enterprise software.
• Have recent experience in development, operations, troubleshooting, and managing teams.
• Have experience building and/or contributing to a component library.
• Have knowledge of coding and designing with Angular.
• Have system design and architecture experience with large complex systems.
• Understand agile software development lifecycle.

• Location: Bengaluru, India.
• Work arrangement: office-first, encouraging three days a week in office for most roles.
