Senior Manager, Sales Engineering - Majors, Central

Overview

Lead and grow the sales engineering organization for Zscaler’s core portfolio, including the Gen AI market, across the Central United States. Partner with sales, product management, engineering, customers, and partners to develop strategic solutions and close deals.

What you'll do

• Recruit, mentor, and develop the sales engineering team.
• Refine sales engineering processes for discovery and technical qualification.
• Scale proof-of-concept processes.
• Partner with sales leadership and clients to design business solutions.
• Present value-based solutions that support revenue growth.
• Promote and support the portfolio in a matrixed environment.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven sales or systems engineering experience.
• Experience managing and directing a sales engineering team.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing talent.
• Technical expertise in cybersecurity and networking.
• Experience integrating AI tools into daily workflows and problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zscaler or competitive solutions.
• Understanding of SaaS technologies and regulatory compliance.
• Experience working with large GTM and partner ecosystems in a matrix environment.

Details

• Location: Illinois, United States; remote.
• Base salary: $175,875–$251,250 USD yearly.
