Senior Mechanical Engineer - Pump Design

Overview

Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for advanced design and detailing of centrifugal pumps, ensuring compliance with API 610 standards and customer requirements.

What you'll do

• Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for complete pump assemblies and components.
• Generate and validate BOMs with material specifications, part codes, and revision control.
• Support Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and update drawings using ECNs.
• Mentor junior designers and drafters and participate in design reviews.
• Analyze test results against design curves/specs and prepare test reports.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in pump design.
• Significant experience with API 610 centrifugal pumps and ANSI/ISO, non-API pumps.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, DraftSight, and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, machining processes, casting design, and manufacturing constraints.
• Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems such as Oracle and Windchill for document and BOM control.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and instrumentation.
