Senior Network Engineer

Overview

Senior Network Engineer role focused on owning escalated, complex network incidents and driving root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.

What you'll do

• Own and resolve incidents escalated from Network Engineers across routing, switching, DNS, CDN, and connectivity.
• Lead complex troubleshooting using packet captures, flow data, routing tables, logs, and change history.
• Determine technical root cause and implement permanent fixes and configuration/routing adjustments.
• Lead major-incident bridges (Sev-0 / Sev-1) and make containment, rerouting, and recovery decisions.
• Improve reliability with automation, observability enhancements, and capacity/performance/resilience work.
• Author and maintain runbooks/SOPs and mentor/coaching engineers.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and track corrective actions to closure to reduce recurrence.

What you'll need

• 5-8 years of experience in network engineering, network operations, or infrastructure operations.
• Hands-on networking expertise including routing/switching, BGP/OSPF, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, and CDN.
• Strong troubleshooting using packet capture, flow analysis, and routing/peering diagnostics.
• Proven experience leading complex incident diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and permanent remediation.
• Network automation/scripting skills (Python, Ansible, or equivalent) and familiarity with monitoring/observability and ITSM tooling.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical leadership and documentation.
• Willingness and ability to work rotational 24x7 shifts and on-call, including nights/weekends/holidays.
