Senior Principal AI/ML Developer

Overview

Senior Principal Applied AI Engineer to lead the application of AI/ML and advanced analytics across Autodesk’s B2C business, shaping applied AI capabilities for personalization and eCommerce.

What you'll do

• Define and drive the applied AI strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for B2C capabilities.
• Lead multiple complex cross-functional AI/ML programs from strategy through production and adoption.
• Develop and coach a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers.
• Set technical direction and engineering standards across model development, experimentation, evaluation, deployment, and MLOps.
• Advance machine learning solutions using customer behavior, product engagement, commerce signals, and industry trends.
• Establish experimentation and measurement practices and translate learnings into product and business decisions.
• Partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities into scalable AI capabilities.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative/technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied Research, or related technical discipline delivering production-scale ML.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams, technical organizations, or major cross-functional programs.
• Experience developing technical talent through coaching, mentorship, technical leadership, performance or people management.
• Proven ability to lead technical strategy and design/optimize production-scale ML infrastructure.
• 7+ years of experience with software or ML system design and architecture, including launching and operating production systems.
• Deep hands-on experience with ML/data mining/information retrieval/recommendation/personalization and applied statistical methods.
