Senior Principal Applications Engineer

Overview

Senior Principal Applications Engineer providing technical leadership and architecture for enterprise platforms and integrations within Autodesk’s Growth Experience Technology (GET) organization.

What you'll do

• Own technical vision and architecture for multiple enterprise platforms and services
• Lead design and delivery of highly available, secure, and scalable production systems
• Define enterprise architecture for integrations using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures on AWS
• Enforce engineering standards for CI/CD, testing, observability, SLOs/SLIs, security, governance, and resiliency
• Own operational readiness and platform reliability in partnership with SRE teams
• Mentor senior and principal engineers through architecture reviews and technical coaching

What you'll need

• 14+ years of software development experience across the full product development lifecycle
• Proven experience architecting enterprise applications, preferably CRM ecosystems
• Enterprise integration expertise using REST APIs, webhooks, asynchronous messaging, middleware, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on AWS experience with services including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and EKS
• Experience designing and evolving SDKs, APIs, and platform capabilities for multiple teams
• Strong understanding of build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and developer experience optimization
