Senior Product Engineer (Contract)

Overview

Senior Product Engineer (Contract) for a remote-first, distributed team in India, focused on using AI as a core part of the engineering workflow.

What you'll do

• Apply AI-assisted development to prototype, validate, and ship production-ready solutions.
• Identify opportunities across business for software, automation, data, or AI impact.
• Own solutions end-to-end from discovery and scoping through deployment and iteration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define solutions, communicate trade-offs, and measure outcomes.
• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications, backend services, automations, and internal tools.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and provide code reviews and engineering mentorship.

What you'll need

• Experience moving from ambiguous business problems to deployed solutions with stakeholder collaboration.
• Ability to independently deliver complex software systems and outcomes with minimal oversight.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools in production while maintaining quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Comfort building and maintaining production web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., Laravel or similar).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS and Cloudflare) and relational databases with query optimization.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD and automated deployment practices.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
