Senior Product Specialist - Deep Sector-7

Overview

Senior Product Specialist on FactSet's Deep Sector Team, contributing to the expansion of Deep Sector Feeds in FactSet Fundamentals within the Content & Technology Solutions (CTS) product group.

What you'll do

• Gather, analyze and interpret feedback directly from clients and prospects to understand their problems and gaps in our solutions and the marketplace.
• Participate in product discovery and proactively identify and validate market opportunities before development.
• Contribute to defining the metrics that will measure product outcomes.
• Perform research and analysis that contributes to the product vision, strategic framework and roadmap.
• Serve as subject matter expert on product quality and nuances, knowing the top issues and how to troubleshoot them.
• Educate junior team members and support help desk on troubleshooting and best practices.
• Support Product Managers by prioritizing issues critical to fix to improve the customer experience.
• Define the problem space and experiment with potential solutions before suggesting a specific fix.
• Separate bugs from user error and stability issues, and escalate issues to Engineering appropriately.
• Assist in defining user needs and acceptance criteria with development teams.
• Prioritize the instrumentation and reporting of key product metrics.
• Give prompt and candid feedback to cross-functional team members and coach and mentor junior team members.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in B.Tech/MCA or BBA/MBA.
• A combination of tech and finance experience (ideal, not mandatory).
• Familiarity with query languages SQL and programming languages commonly used in the financial industry (e.g., Python, R).
• 5-8 years of relevant experience in product development, product strategy and roadmap.
• Ability to troubleshoot client issues using creativity, analytical skills and subject matter expertise.
• Understanding of tools and frameworks for product management such as user personas, empathy mapping and prioritization frameworks.
• Product-oriented, able to say "No" to stakeholders and engineering, starting by defining problems, goals and needs.
• Knowledge of data sets and technology solutions commonly used in the financial industry.
• Knowledge of data and technology workflows and end users common in the financial industry.
