Senior Sales Engineer - Bay Area

Overview

Senior Enterprise Sales Engineer providing technical advisory support to customers and Sales, owning the end-to-end evaluation experience for enterprise opportunities.

What you'll do

• Own the sales process with Account Executives by shaping technical strategy across opportunities from Prospect to Closed Won.
• Lead customer discovery to uncover technical challenges, business goals, and success criteria; translate them into tailored solutions and measurable outcomes.
• Deliver product demos, technical presentations, and solution workshops for diverse stakeholder audiences.
• Own technical evaluations (POVs) end-to-end: scope use cases, define success criteria, build project plans with timelines, and drive accountability.
• Identify and develop technical champions across multi-stakeholder environments and influence throughout the deal cycle.
• Ensure operational documentation and deal progress are accurate and up to date in related systems.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role in an enterprise environment.
• Skilled at influencing and adapting communication across technical, business, and executive audiences.
• Advanced background in public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, APM/tracing, security, developer experience, and observability.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to a range of audiences.
• A consultative, outcome-oriented approach to problem-solving and customer engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
