Overview

Senior Principal Solutions Engineer (Sales Engineer) for YugabyteDB, acting as a trusted technical advisor to prospects and customers.

What you'll do

• Partner with account executives to qualify opportunities and drive technical sales efforts.
• Deliver tailored product demos and architecture deep-dives for prospective customers.
• Lead proof-of-concept engagements with customer engineers to design, deploy, and validate YugabyteDB.
• Provide technical advisory support on distributed databases, cloud-native architectures, and application design best practices.
• Create and maintain technical collateral to support the sales process.
• Provide feedback to product, engineering, and support teams as the voice of the customer.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role in enterprise software or infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL), cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with distributed systems, data replication, and high-availability architectures.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to simplify complex technical topics.
• Hands-on experience with YugabyteDB or similar distributed SQL/SQL technologies.
• Familiarity with modern application stacks including Spring Boot, Node.js, Golang, and GraphQL.
