Senior Sales Systems Engineer, Kasten, West

Overview

Senior Sales Systems Engineer (Kasten Specialist Solutions Engineer) for Kubernetes-native data protection, partnering with sales to drive technical wins in enterprise accounts.

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end technical sales cycle: discovery, architecture, demonstrations, proof of concept, and technical close.
• Lead pre-sales technical activities across assigned territories, including POC execution through technical closure.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to enterprise technical evaluators, architects, and senior leadership.
• Architect Kasten solutions aligned to customer requirements and enterprise security/compliance frameworks.
• Provide product feedback to Kasten Product Management based on field experience and customer requirements.
• Support lead generation activities including industry events, webinars, and technical briefings.
• Collaborate with ecosystem and channel/partner teams to advance co-sell and partner-led technical evaluations.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of pre-sales or solutions engineering experience in enterprise software.
• 5+ years of hands-on Kubernetes-based products experience in production or evaluation environments.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes data protection, backup and recovery strategies, and cloud-native storage architectures.
• Familiarity with enterprise procurement processes and channel dynamics.
• Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into business value for technical and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting to groups of varying seniority.

Details

• Remote, United States.
• Travel up to 40% within US West/Central and occasional global travel.
• Strong preference for location in PST.
• Quota-carrying, customer-facing role accountable for the technical win.
