Overview

Senior Software Development Engineer for Expedia Group’s Marketplace Health (MPH) organization, focused on marketplace health and trust via services, processes, and data analytics.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient services and applications.
• Deliver end-to-end technical solutions across multiple services/components with code quality, observability, security, and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into reusable technical solutions.
• Lead code and design reviews, drive engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers.
• Diagnose complex production issues and improve reliability and performance using data-driven analysis.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and operational tooling.
• Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve outcomes using AI/ML concepts in products.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent related professional experience.
• Significant production environment software development experience for services/applications.
• Experience owning end-to-end delivery: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
• Familiarity with system design (including low-level design), API design, and data modeling.
