Senior Software Development Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Development Engineer for Dexcom’s Data Platforms team in Bengaluru, working on infrastructure for data pipelines, storage, and APIs.

What you'll do

• Build cloud-based, event-driven software systems with high availability and scalability.
• Work with data platform engineers to support data pipelines, storage, and APIs.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle from design to testing and documentation.
• Build machine learning pipelines with the data scientist team.
• Implement improvements such as automating manual processes and optimizing data delivery and infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews and champion quality control and testing best practices.
• Join an on-call rotation when required for production systems.
• Protect confidentiality and security of client data.

What you'll need

• Strong programming skills in Kotlin, Java, and Golang.
• Experience with message brokers/queues/buses including Kafka, Azure Service Bus, and ZeroMQ.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and relational databases such as MySQL.
• Familiarity with modern software testing tools.
• Ability to learn new tools and technology.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines and multiple tasks.
• Strong frontend development exposure.
