Senior Software Engineer, AeroParker

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for Metropolis’ AeroParker application development team, building and maintaining backend services for pre-book parking and e-commerce.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services for the AeroParker pre-book parking and e-commerce platform.
• Participate across the development lifecycle from ideation and technical specification through deployment.
• Moderate technical discussions, evaluate new techniques, and evolve the e-commerce architecture.
• Apply automation testing, TDD/BDD, and CI/CD to enable rapid iteration and feature launches.
• Treat production bugs as opportunities to improve the platform.
• Build and operate distributed systems that are highly available, secure, and handle high-volume traffic across global airports.
• Develop solutions and API integrations with global partners connecting their products to AeroParker.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Scala, Java, or related languages.
• Track record designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and modern software design paradigms.
• Understanding of Agile engineering processes including CI/CD and automated build/test/deploy workflows.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting complex technical architecture.

• On-site work: employees are required to be on-site at least four days a week (office-first model).
