Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and evolving scalable software systems for JLL’s digital workplace platforms. The role provides technical leadership across architecture, delivery, engineering standards, and mentoring.

What you'll do

• Lead delivery of complex features from design through deployment.
• Architect cloud-native applications using full-stack technologies and microservices.
• Drive scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability strategy.
• Champion test automation, observability, CI/CD, and shift-left quality practices.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders on technical roadmaps.
• Mentor and coach software engineers.
• Resolve high-severity incidents and lead post-mortems.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expertise in C#/.NET Core and RESTful API design.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL Server, and NoSQL stores or search engines.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including PaaS/IaaS, networking, and identity management.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core, automated testing, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a globally distributed agile environment.

Nice to have

• Experience leading technical initiatives or acting as a tech lead.
• Knowledge of accessibility, internationalization, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Angular or React.
• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps/SRE practices.
