Senior Software Engineer, Fraud

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Fraud) to help develop Stytch’s fraud detection and prevention products, primarily Device Fingerprinting.

What you'll do

• Build and own fraud detection capabilities for Stytch’s fraud platform on Twilio.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate customer needs into technical plans and roadmap delivery.
• Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams on architecture alignment, platform integration, and unblocking initiatives.
• Drive technical ownership by authoring design docs, making key technical decisions, and reviewing code.
• Improve production quality and resilience via observability, incident response, and remediation.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

What you'll need

• 6+ years experience designing, building, and operating production systems.
• Expertise in C or C++ (production experience is a plus, not required).
• Experience with a production-grade codebase in a modern programming language using best-practice coding standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work non-standard hours with an on-call rotation for weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with reverse engineering detection and prevention (e.g., browser automation, botting, fraud detection/defense).

• Role is remote in the US, with occasional travel for in-person meetings.
