Senior Software Engineer (Quality) - Core Commerce Platform

Overview

Senior Quality Engineer for PUMA’s Core Commerce Platform, responsible for quality strategy, test automation, and test execution for omnichannel commerce capabilities across the purchase lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Define and drive quality strategy and standards for order management and omnichannel fulfillment capabilities across the order lifecycle.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs, integrations, contract, event-driven workflows, and end-to-end commerce scenarios.
• Ensure inventory accuracy, order orchestration, fulfillment execution, and SLA adherence using robust automated and exploratory testing.
• Embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle by partnering with software engineers, tech leads, product owners, and data engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain test data management capabilities for order, inventory, sourcing, fulfillment, and returns scenarios.
• Integrate quality engineering into CI/CD pipelines with automated quality gates and release validation checks.
• Define quality metrics and test coverage goals, and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of quality engineering, software testing, and test automation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong automation proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or equivalent frameworks.
• Expertise in order lifecycle validation (order capture, sourcing, fulfillment, shipment, returns, exchanges, and post-purchase).
• Strong API testing, contract testing, and integration testing across distributed microservices.
• Hands-on CI/CD automation for quality gates, release validation, and deployment verification.
• Experience with modern quality practices such as shift-left/continuous testing and release readiness assessment.
