Overview

Senior Software Engineer for Tooling & Automation, owning automation, integrations, and unified monitoring for Vultr’s GIOC in Chennai.

What you'll do

• Analyze engineering alert streams across Systems, Network, and Security to choose integration approaches.
• Build a notification layer for high-priority events into GIOC with critical context for fast L1 response.
• Align automated routing logic with escalation and resolution protocols.
• Implement on-call notification workflows to meet acknowledgment SLAs without manual intervention.
• Design a single-pane dashboard aggregating monitoring across global providers to reduce tool switching.
• Maintain visibility during the GIOC transition by running legacy and modern tools side-by-side.
• Generate documentation for routing systems and dashboards for long-term maintainability.

What you'll need

• 5–8 years of experience in Platform Engineering or similar domains.
• Significant expertise with NMS platforms, Grafana, and major SIEM environments.
• Experience building complex integrations using Python and RESTful APIs over the last three years.
• Experience creating/customizing dashboards via Kibana, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of ITSM workflows, specifically Jira and Mattermost, including mapping severity to incident metadata.
• Ability to integrate and unify monitoring across multiple platforms (monitoring, SIEM, infrastructure, provider platforms).
