Overview
Design, build, deploy, and maintain business applications across the Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse ecosystem, including low-code, pro-code, and custom development. Cover the full software development lifecycle from requirements and development through security configuration, testing, and multi-environment deployment.
What you'll do
- Design and build Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps based on business requirements.
- Build Code Apps using React and TypeScript, integrating with the Power Platform SDK, connectors, and Dataverse inside the managed Power Platform environment.
- Develop and maintain Power Automate cloud flows and desktop flows where relevant for process automation and integrations.
- Develop custom business logic via Dataverse plugins in C#, custom workflow activities, and Power Fx formulas.
- Create custom PCF controls where standard capabilities are insufficient.
- Design and maintain the Dataverse data model, including tables, columns, relationships, keys, and business rules.
- Write and optimize queries against Dataverse using SQL/CDS query patterns, FetchXML, and the TDS endpoint.
- Manage data import, export, migration, and integration with external systems.
- Configure and administer Dataverse security, including security roles, business units, teams, field-level security, and hierarchy security.
- Implement least-privilege access models and troubleshoot permission-related issues.
- Apply connector authentication and API permission handling for Code Apps.
- Manage solution lifecycle using managed and unmanaged solutions.
- Handle deployments across Dev, Test/QA, UAT, and Prod environments through the SDLC.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions with source control.
- Manage build and deployment processes for Code Apps, including npm/Node build tooling, pac code CLI, environment strategy, connection references, and environment variables.
- Follow coding standards, documentation practices, and unit, integration, and UAT testing.
- Support production incidents, monitoring, and performance tuning.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Agricultural Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, and Power Fx.
- Code Apps using React/TypeScript, Power Platform SDK, Power Apps CLI (pac CLI), and PCF controls.
- C# for plugins and custom workflow activities, .NET, and JavaScript/TypeScript for client-side development.
- HTML/CSS, React, TypeScript, REST/OData API consumption, and Node.js/npm tooling.
- Dataverse data modeling, business rules, calculated/rollup columns, and alternate keys.
- SQL, CDS/Dataverse queries, FetchXML, TDS endpoint, and OData Web API.
- Dataverse security roles, business units, teams, field-level security, and hierarchy security.
- Managed versus unmanaged solutions, Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps/GitHub, Git source control, and environment strategy.
- Custom and premium connectors, REST APIs, and Dataverse Web API.
Nice to have
- Microsoft certifications: PL-400 (Power Platform Developer), PL-600 (Solution Architect), and PL-200 (Functional Consultant).
- Experience with Azure services, including Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, Service Bus, and Static Web Apps.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build tooling, including Vite and Webpack, and component libraries such as Fluent UI.
- Dynamics 365 CE module experience, including Sales and Customer Service.
- Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Knowledge of governance, DLP policies, and Center of Excellence (CoE) practices.
