Overview
Serve as the technical anchor and architect of record for core transactional systems supporting a regulated bank. Own the architecture connecting the core banking ledger with the stablecoin issuance engine.
What you'll do
- Architect and build core backend microservices, persistence schemas, messaging endpoints, and internal APIs.
- Design reconciliation between fiat subledgers, reserve accounts, and on-chain token supply.
- Lead and mentor the Core Backend team.
- Establish standards for code reviews, testing, observability, and deployment.
- Integrate sanctions-screening connectors with audit and escalation controls.
- Partner on multi-region availability, failover, ledger alerting, IAM, and threat modeling.
- Support UAT, feature freezes, and external control validation.
What you'll need
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- 5+ years architecting high-integrity transactional systems.
- Expertise in event-driven architecture, exactly-once processing, idempotency, and reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, and multi-region deployments.
- Experience designing immutable transaction logs, reconciliation controls, and automated audit evidence.
- Proven success mentoring senior engineers and owning delivery end-to-end.
- Ability to produce documentation suitable for regulatory and audit scrutiny.
Nice to have
- Experience with stablecoins, digital asset custody, or blockchain settlement.
- Familiarity with FFIEC IT examinations or SOC 2 audits.
Details
- Remote role in the United States; candidates must be based in New York, New York, or Miami, Florida.
- Full-time position.
- Annual base salary: $185,000–$200,000 USD.
