What you'll do
- Perform power efficiency and performance-per-watt analysis for GPU benchmarks/games from feature specification to silicon.
- Contribute to RTL-level power optimization strategies for GPU architectures and subsystems.
- Partner with hardware, software, and system-level design teams on power/performance improvements.
- Support GPU RTL power optimization for energy efficiency in next-generation Qualcomm GPUs.
- Debug RTL or gate-level power anomalies and identify root-cause scenarios.
What you'll need
- 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 12+ implied by “12+ years… or a Master’s degree” in the Minimum Qualifications).
- Understanding of RTL power optimization fundamentals including switching activity and clock/enable efficiency.
- Familiarity with RTL power analysis/optimization tools such as PowerArtist, PTPX, and PowerPro (or equivalent).
- Familiarity with low-power design techniques including clock gating and power gating.
- Knowledge of emulation power flow and methodology.
- Strong Python skills for automation scripts, data pipelines, and analysis flows.
