Overview
Staff GPU RTL Power Engineer at Qualcomm India in Noida. You will drive GPU power efficiency analysis and RTL-level power optimization across the path from early specifications to silicon.
What you'll do
- Perform power efficiency and performance-per-watt analysis for GPU blocks using industry-standard benchmarks and games.
- Support RTL-level power optimization strategies across power, architectural, and microarchitectural design teams.
- Partner with hardware, software, and system-level design teams to improve GPU energy efficiency.
- Apply power optimization from early feature specification stages through silicon.
- Debug RTL or gate-level power anomalies and identify root-cause structures or scenarios.
What you'll need
- 8-12 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 3+ years for certain higher degrees as stated for Hardware Engineering generally).
- Understand RTL power optimization fundamentals, including switching activity and clock/enable efficiency.
- Use RTL power analysis and optimization tools such as PowerArtist, PTPX, PowerPro, or equivalents.
- Know low-power design techniques like clock gating and power gating.
- Have knowledge of emulation power flow and methodology.
- Strong Python skills for automation scripts, data pipelines, and analysis flows.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of graphics architecture.
- Familiarity with OpenGL and/or Vulkan API libraries.
