Senior Systems Support Engineer

Overview

Senior Systems Support Engineer responsible for keeping complex application systems operationally stable, available, and efficient, with strong incident management and DevOps practices.

What you'll do

• Use incident management processes and tools to generate reports and take corrective actions.
• Monitor application metrics using monitoring tooling and use logs to alert, identify issues, and find root causes.
• Debug business-impacting problems by understanding complex application systems.
• Follow standards and best practices to improve operational efficiency, stability, and availability.
• Deploy and run software using DevOps tools and continuous delivery practices.
• Mentor less experienced peers with technical knowledge and leadership.

What you'll need

• Experience with programming languages including Java and Python or Powershell.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong debugging and triaging skills to troubleshoot code effectively.
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure pipelines.
• Experience with application monitoring tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Comfort with Agile methods such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
