Server Onboarding Specialist

Overview

Onboard newly racked CPU and GPU servers into production by completing inventory, imaging, configuration, activation, and handoff to validation. Troubleshoot workflows and coordinate with teams during high-volume deployments.

What you'll do

• Provision and configure CPU and GPU servers for production readiness.
• Configure IPMI/BMC, BIOS settings, RAID/JBOD modes, and firmware.
• Perform PXE-based OS provisioning and troubleshoot imaging failures.
• Run and monitor Puppet or similar configuration management tools.
• Triage DOA servers, failed components, and RMA candidates.
• Maintain fleet inventory, including rack locations, credentials, disks, and GPUs.
• Coordinate with networking, storage, provisioning, and validation teams.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with server hardware and out-of-band management interfaces.
• Experience with PXE booting and automated OS provisioning.
• Knowledge of DHCP, VLANs, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Familiarity with Puppet or similar configuration management tools.
• Familiarity with Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Details

• Remote in the United States.
• Rotating 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule.
• Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year.
