Overview
Service Engineer for Data Centre HVAC & Chiller systems (Mumbai/Navi Mumbai). Responsible for service, maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and execution support for data centre cooling projects.
What you'll do
- Perform preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and service on air-cooled and water-cooled chillers (screw, scroll, centrifugal).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues in chiller and HVAC systems.
- Conduct chiller start-up, commissioning, performance testing, and system optimization.
- Support data centre HVAC project site execution, including planning and installation oversight with contractors and OEM teams.
- Support upgrades, retrofits, and energy-efficiency improvements for existing data centre cooling infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed service reports, performance logs, and documentation for equipment.
- Interface with customers to provide updates and clarify technical issues; submit root-cause analysis and 8D reports.
What you'll need
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience servicing air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, preferably for data centre applications.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, HVAC controls, and BMS/EMS integration with cooling redundancy concepts.
- Experience with project execution, installation supervision, and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
- Proficiency diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control faults using service tools and diagnostic software.
- Strong customer communication and ability to work in critical data centre environments.

- Field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations.
- Location: Mumbai/Mumbai region (Mumbai, Maharashtra; includes Navi Mumbai).
- Willingness to work shifts, including holidays/public holidays, to meet agreed SLA.
- Monthly MOR and Quarterly QBR meetings with data centre customers required.
