Field Service Engineer I - Industrial

Overview

Field Service Engineer I (Steel & Mining) provides installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket support for industrial service brakes and hydraulic brake systems for heavy-duty bulk handling equipment.

What you'll do

• Travel extensively to customer sites such as steel plants, mining operations, ports, and bulk material handling facilities.
• Execute installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial brakes and hydraulic brake systems.
• Integrate braking systems with cranes, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical components like control panels, sensors, and feedback systems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulics including leakages, pressure settings, and valve operations.
• Conduct commissioning checks including functional testing, calibration, and safety interlocks verification.
• Prepare and submit service/commissioning reports, checklists, and hazard analyses.

What you'll need

• Up to 100% travel requirement is stated.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering (preferred) or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in industrial equipment servicing and relevant industries/systems is required.
• Knowledge of industrial braking systems and hydraulic systems/components is required.
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills are required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Details

• Work model is fully onsite at a designated Regal Rexnord office.
• Management and engineering team based in Pune, Maharashtra; on-site support across India (and abroad if required).
• Role requires working at heights and comfort/training for the same.
