Field Service Engineer I - Wind Turbines

Overview

Field Service Engineer I (Wind Turbine) provides hands-on service and aftermarket support for wind turbine customers across India, with potential travel abroad if needed. The role involves long travel periods, independent work, turbine diagnostics, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.

What you'll do

• Travel 100% to support various scopes of work across India and, if needed, abroad.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, install, and repair wind turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components/systems.
• Perform diagnostic testing and fault finding, including electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic troubleshooting, and disc troubleshooting.
• Complete service visit documentation, including reports, checklists, and hazard analysis.
• Support HSE/training programs for company and customers.
• Verify brakes, discs, and hydraulic systems and perform groove disc work.
• Prepare for service visits by investigating scope, reviewing manuals/drawings, and coordinating site information and personnel.

What you'll need

• Be competent to work on wind turbines, including climbing upwards of 50m to perform diagnostic testing and service.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering required, or a Wind Program graduate.
• Have 4–5 years’ experience.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Hold required/maintain training certifications (e.g., Fall Protection/Rescue Training, LOTO, First Aid/CPR/AED, and related GWO trainings if applicable).

• Role is fully onsite, performed at the designated Regal Rexnord office (with coordination with management based in Pune, Maharashtra).
• Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India.
