Overview
ServiceNow Application Developer supporting HP’s IT ServiceNow system and quality assurance activities, including development and maintenance of infrastructure automation workflows.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow applications, modules, and service catalogs.
- Integrate ServiceNow with external platforms (Ansible, VMware, Infoblox) via REST APIs for automation.
- Build and maintain workflows and jobs that update infrastructure data in ServiceNow CMDB.
- Fine-tune Service Catalogs, Workflows, Business Rules, UI Policies, and related platform capabilities.
- Maintain scheduled jobs, Script Includes, and Client Scripts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to workflows, integrations, and catalog requests.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging; participate in Agile sprint planning and delivery.
What you'll need
- 4+ years of experience as a ServiceNow developer in large-scale environments.
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB.
- Hands-on experience using ServiceNow for reports and dashboards.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience preparing update sets to move code changes to production.
- Recommended education: Bachelor’s/Four-year degree in Computer Science, IT, or related, or commensurate experience.
Nice to have
- ServiceNow certifications for Flow Designer, Integration Hub, App Engine Studio, Certified Application Developer, or Certified Technical Architect.
- Familiarity with scripting languages for automation and exposure to datacenter infrastructure.
