Overview
ServiceNow Developer role in Bengaluru focused on configuring and customizing the ServiceNow platform, especially Flow Designer, scripting, Service Portal, Business Rules, and access controls.
What you'll do
- Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow designs and deliverables.
- Build, maintain, and optimize Flow Designer flows with subflows, actions, approvals, notifications, and error handling.
- Develop and maintain server-side and client-side scripts (Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions).
- Configure Service Portal pages, widgets, themes, and branding; build custom AngularJS widgets when needed.
- Implement secure access patterns using roles, groups, and ACLs with least-privilege and data segregation.
- Configure ServiceNow data model elements and ensure data quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate on unit testing, defect fixes, code reviews, and production support; support integrations via IntegrationHub/Spokes and APIs.
What you'll need
- 3–5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field).
- 3–5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience (configuration and customization).
- Hands-on experience building Service Portal experiences including custom widgets, pages, and themes.
- Strong HTML/CSS and AngularJS knowledge for widget development.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts.
