Overview
Support, maintain and improve the ServiceNow Platform, including multiple modules, integrations, workflows, automation and underlying infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Support the entire ServiceNow Platform housing multiple modules.
- Support integration, workflow and automation between ServiceNow and multiple other systems and services.
- Support, maintain and improve solutions developed in the ServiceNow Platform and underlying infrastructure such as Integration/MID servers.
- Write well-designed, high-quality, testable code for break-fix solutions or minor enhancements.
- Deploy patches, including AWS and Azure MID Server patches, plugin upgrades and city upgrades.
- Produce specifications as part of problem solving and determine operational feasibility.
- Create, respond to and troubleshoot ServiceNow high-priority cases via the case portal, working with ServiceNow Support Engineers during or after business hours as required.
- Support API integration and connector-based integrations.
- Track and manage archiving, purging and platform capacity metrics, reporting and overall capacity through archiving and purging solutions.
- Deploy programs and update sets in ServiceNow environments.
- Support business processes through data queries, analysis and ad hoc report development using Performance Analytics.
- Comply with project plans, release management and change management policies and regulatory or audit requirements.
- Support modules, features and integrations including ITSM, ITOM Discovery and Mapping, HR Service Delivery, Procurement Service Delivery, Vulnerability Response Management and Configuration Compliance, BCM, SIR, custom ServiceNow apps, Integration Hub, Service Portal, and Service Request and Fulfilment.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of technology experience, including a minimum of 3+ years in ServiceNow support or administration roles.
- Current ServiceNow Foundation or System Administrator certification.
- Hands-on experience with the latest ServiceNow city versions, including Tokyo and Utah.
- Experience in AWS and Azure environments supporting MID Servers, patching and configuration deployment.
- Software delivery skills such as CI/CD and software or source code configuration management.
- Experience with platform automation tools including Jenkins, GitHub and Ansible.
- Familiarity with agile workflow tools such as JIRA or Rally.
- Knowledge and experience with build languages, especially JavaScript and Flow Designer.
- Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and solving complex problems on ServiceNow modules and related API integrations and connectors.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow table structure and code, and strong API and microservices knowledge.
- Ability to prioritise and effectively manage and deliver in a challenging environment with an onshore or offshore resource mix.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, including documenting and transferring knowledge to other team members.
- Strong commitment to quality and auditability and adherence to change management requirements.
- Experience deploying programs and update sets in non-production and production environments following release management.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices.
