Site Reliability Engineer

Overview

Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) ensuring reliability, availability, and performance of company systems and infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Monitor system health, performance metrics, and alerts; diagnose issues and restore services during incidents.
• Implement incident response processes to minimize downtime and improve system availability.
• Build and maintain automation tools, scripts, and processes for system management, deployments, and configuration changes.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code to improve consistency and repeatability.
• Optimize system resources, configurations, and processes for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Conduct post-incident analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce future incidents.

What you'll need

• Linux/Unix systems, networking, and system administration experience.
• Scripting/programming proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Ruby.
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and associated services.
• Performance monitoring/optimization/troubleshooting experience using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
• Incident management and root cause analysis experience, including post-incident reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
