Overview
Site Reliability Engineer supporting AWS data-platform infrastructure and service operations. The role combines service governance, operational readiness, resilience, and process leadership with hands-on AWS reliability engineering.
What you'll do
- Establish application handover processes covering ownership, dependencies, monitoring, security, runbooks, recovery, and acceptance.
- Maintain service catalogues, operating profiles, support models, service levels, and escalation paths.
- Lead business-continuity, disaster-recovery, recovery testing, security-review, and audit-readiness activities.
- Operate and improve secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure.
- Build infrastructure as code, delivery pipelines, observability, and operational automation.
- Participate in on-call incident response, recovery, communication, escalation, and post-incident reviews.
- Improve availability, performance, resilience, backup, recovery, patching, and security posture.
What you'll need
- 5–8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong AWS experience across IAM, VPC, PrivateLink, S3, EC2, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Secrets Manager, and STS.
- Hands-on experience in SRE, platform engineering, cloud operations, or infrastructure engineering.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, observability, and incident response.
- Experience with service handovers, support models, operational ownership, recovery planning, or security-control processes.
- Strong stakeholder management, documentation, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of EKS, Lambda, Glue, EMR, and RDS.
- Experience in regulated, security-sensitive, or audit-intensive environments.
- Familiarity with AWS Well-Architected, ITIL, or business-continuity standards.
- Experience with Docker, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, or Kubernetes.
- Relevant AWS, SRE, IT service-management, security, risk, or business-continuity certifications.
