Job description

Overview

Own SocialPilot's organic growth across Google and AI answers, grow brand discovery and organic revenue, and lead the SEO team while doing hands-on work alongside it. Reports to the Head of Marketing on a weekly cadence.

What you'll do

  • Measure brand discovery monthly across Google, AI answers, Reddit, YouTube, lists, and review sites, and grow that number every month.
  • Set the organic strategy by sorting searches by searcher intent and putting team effort where buyers search, not only where volume is.
  • Build the topical map and decide where to play and in what order across comparison, alternatives and "best tools" pages, product and feature pages, content, and international.
  • Decide which pages to build, fix, merge, or retire.
  • Grow how often ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, AI Overviews and AI Mode name, cite, and recommend SocialPilot, including against competitors (GEO and AEO).
  • Run outreach and collaborations to get SocialPilot onto "best tools" lists, review roundups, publications, Reddit threads, and YouTube videos, and set Reddit and YouTube targets with the teams that produce for them.
  • Build lasting relationships with publishers, partners and creators, and earn links and mentions through digital PR.
  • Own how SocialPilot appears on G2, Capterra, other review sites, software directories, and AI app directories, grow reviews, and keep the description of SocialPilot consistent everywhere.
  • Plan, brief, and publish the content organic growth needs with the content team, on time, and review the search side so every page answers a real buyer question well.
  • Own new sign-ups, paying customers, and revenue from organic search and AI answers, and build and hit the monthly forecast for discovery and revenue.
  • Put buyer pages first, win back comparison searches, and make sure those pages lead to a trial.
  • Use Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, AI visibility tools and log data to diagnose what moved and why; check rankings live by country and device before reporting; tie every channel, including AI answers, to sign-ups and revenue.
  • Bring your own ideas for more discovery and revenue every month, size each one, and test the best with a clear hypothesis and kill rule set before the data comes in.
  • Stay ahead of Google updates and changes in AI search, and act on them.
  • Lead the SEO team: set weekly targets, review work, coach, and hire; manage SEO tools and agencies within budget.
  • Run technical SEO and guard every release, including crawling, indexing, site architecture, structured data, page speed, migrations, and redirects; no page is removed, redirected, or moved without an SEO check, and every site change goes in a release log.
  • Build AI workflows and agents with the team to research, brief, audit, and report faster.
  • Partner with content, web, design, product, and paid to ship pages and fixes on time, set the brief, and hold the quality bar.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years managing an SEO team with direct reports, while still doing the work yourself, including setting targets, reviewing work, growing, and hiring (informal mentoring does not count).
  • Proven revenue impact from SEO: grown revenue through organic search and can show the sign-ups, paying customers, or revenue your work brought.
  • Experience measuring SEO by brand discovery and the revenue that discovery brings, and knowing which searches bring buyers and which bring readers.
  • Experience building an organic forecast and owning a quarterly number.
  • Ability to walk through a drop you diagnosed and recovered, or growth you built, and what it was worth.
  • 8+ years of hands-on SEO B2B SaaS experience.
  • B2B SaaS experience is a must.
  • Deep, current understanding of how search is changing across SEO, GEO, and how LLMs find, choose, and cite sources, and can show what you changed in your own work because of it.
  • Deep across technical, content, and off-page SEO, with experience on comparison and alternatives pages in a competitive category.
  • Fluent in Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, and Screaming Frog, and comfortable with APIs, large exports, Sheets, or SQL.
  • Visible and reachable in a remote team; shares progress and blockers without being asked.
  • Uses AI tools every day, and has built AI workflows or agents that made a team faster, and can show one.
  • Brings own ideas: can show two or three ideas that came from you, not from a brief, and what they brought.

Nice to have

  • Reddit and YouTube experience, such as growing a brand's presence in Reddit threads or in YouTube search.
  • Hands-on experience with AI visibility tools such as BrightEdge and Profound, including knowing what they measure well and what they miss.
  • Outreach and listings experience: getting a brand onto third-party lists and roundups, running digital PR and link outreach, building partner and creator collaborations, and managing product listings on G2 and Capterra.
  • Product-led growth (PLG) or free trial SaaS experience.
  • Experience in social media, marketing, or martech software.

Details

  • Location: Gurugram, India; Ahmedabad, India.
  • Reports to the Head of Marketing on a weekly cadence.
  • Remote team.
