Software Download OTA Engineering Team Manager

Overview

Lead Aptiv's software download and over-the-air update domain strategy, portfolio, architecture, delivery, release decisions, and operational performance across products, platforms, and customer programs.

What you'll do

• Define domain strategy, reference-platform roadmaps, and investment priorities.
• Own portfolio capacity, sourcing, succession, and leadership planning.
• Set technical-authority and release-governance expectations.
• Drive cross-program reuse, productization, and reduced engineering rework.
• Steer critical programs, platform integration, and cross-domain dependencies.
• Represent update capabilities and risks with customers and executives.
• Oversee field performance, corrective actions, and capability evolution.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of experience.
• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Extensive automotive embedded-software leadership and portfolio accountability.
• Strong understanding of bootloaders, diagnostics, OTA, cybersecurity, functional safety, and software lifecycle.
• Experience with business planning, organizational design, customer negotiation, and strategic supplier governance.
• Evidence of measurable transformation and delivery improvement.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience with ISO 24089 and UNECE R156.
• Platform commercialization experience.
• Global center-of-excellence experience.
