Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure & Acquisition - Kolkata, India

Overview

Software Engineer for Speechify’s Data Infrastructure & Acquisition role within the AI team, focused on data collection to support model training.

What you'll do

• Find new sources of audio data and bring them into the ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend cloud infrastructure for the ingestion pipeline on GCP using Terraform.
• Collaborate with scientists to improve cost, throughput, and data quality for training.
• Help craft the AI team’s dataset roadmap with the AI team and leadership.

What you'll need

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments.
• Proficiency in Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts with experience on at least one major cloud provider (GCP is used).
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
