Overview
Lead the design and development of a next-generation data platform supporting real-time analytics, data products, and AI/ML initiatives. Define the technical vision, build scalable systems, and mentor engineers.
What you'll do
- Design and implement batch and real-time data platform integrations.
- Architect data solutions aligned with product and business goals.
- Define data ingestion, enrichment, storage, modeling, ETL, and warehousing guidelines.
- Develop production-grade, end-to-end data platform solutions.
- Drive architectural decisions, roadmap planning, and build-versus-buy evaluations.
- Partner with security, compliance, legal, data science, and machine learning teams.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, incident response, and high-availability practices.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
- At least 5 years at the Principal Engineer level.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale data infrastructure.
- Experience with Kafka, ClickHouse, Tinybird, Snowflake, and big data frameworks.
- Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure and associated big data services.
- Background in data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to mentor teams and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Industry recognition or notable data engineering contributions.

- Remote in the United States.
- San Francisco base pay range: $232,000–$348,000 yearly.
