Software Engineer Developer – Millennium Space Systems

Overview

Build, administer and maintain Atlassian JIRA and related products for Millennium Space Systems, and serve as the main point of contact for user questions and training.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain projects, workflows, issues, permissions and more in JIRA to support Millennium program and team requirements
• Monitor the health of Millennium's JIRA servers and other Atlassian tools and ensure minimal downtime and maximum data availability
• Plan and build multiple JIRA environments for development and testing in addition to production, and perform data migrations as necessary
• Assist users in the usage of JIRA and other Atlassian products and provide small or large group training when necessary
• Prepare and maintain documentation on the design and usage of Millennium's JIRA and other Atlassian products

What you'll need

• 3+ years of JIRA and general Atlassian product administration experience
• 3+ years of general web application administration experience
• Programming experience with Python, Java, SQL, JSON, and Groovy
• Experience with modern web application administration
• Active U.S. Security Clearance (a clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active); U.S. citizenship required

Nice to have

• Experience with GitLab or similar version control tools
• Experience collaborating and working with diverse teams to determine needs and goals
• Experience administering Atlassian products such as Confluence
• Engineering or aerospace environment experience
• Process improvement experience
• Experience as an Administrator delivering Application Services in an Enterprise environment
• Comfortable with Linux and general server concepts: patching, storage, networking, and Apache web

Details

• Onsite role at the El Segundo, CA office
• Level 4 position
• Successful candidates must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
• Position is at a facility that requires special access; applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance, and must be willing to apply for and maintain one
• Interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required
• Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62)
