Software Engineer

Overview

Software Engineer joining the distribution platform team that connects hoteliers’ availability and pricing to OTAs and online booking channels.

What you'll do

• Build new features for the distribution platform.
• Keep a high-throughput system stable and performant.
• Refactor and migrate the platform as architecture evolves.
• Maintain security standards for the system.
• Maintain strong performance standards.

What you'll need

• Experience with scalable microservices architecture.
• Experience refactoring legacy monolithic systems.
• Unit testing skills, including TDD and BDD.
• Production experience applying SOLID principles.
• Comfort working autonomously from inception to completion.
• Distributed systems and messaging systems architecture knowledge.
• Software quality mindset with production code quality focus.

Details

• Work uses Kubernetes on Azure and an event-driven microservice architecture.
• Frontend includes SPAs using TypeScript and React.
• Backend uses Java and Spring Boot APIs.
• Backend data uses JPA with Azure SQL; SQL database knowledge is fine.
