Software Engineer II

Overview

Software Engineer II to own discrete features and workstreams on the EnCore ERP platform, delivering end-to-end implementation with testing, code review, and knowledge transfer.

What you'll do

• Own features and bug fixes end-to-end from specification through production.
• Develop testable, maintainable C# code using dependency injection and separation of concerns.
• Write efficient SQL queries with correct transaction handling and performance optimization.
• Design and implement unit and integration tests to remain reliable across changes.
• Lead peer code reviews and provide feedback on correctness, testability, security, and performance.
• Investigate performance issues in stored procedures and queries using execution plans and diagnostics.
• Mentor Associate Engineers through onboarding, pair programming, and knowledge building.

What you'll need

• Advanced C# and .NET skills including async/await and async completion vs performance.
• Knowledge of dependency injection and constructor-based dependency patterns.
• SQL competence including CTEs, window functions, advanced joins, and execution plan understanding.
• Ability to design and execute safe, rerunnable database migration scripts that check current state.
• Strong transaction safety including isolation levels and atomicity for business operations.
• Ability to write isolated, repeatable unit tests with test fixtures, mocks, and fakes.
• Independent delivery from specification to production with minimal hand-holding.
