Software Engineer II

Overview

Software Engineer II responsible for building and supporting scalable cloud-based applications, with a focus on Java, Spring Boot, microservices, DevOps, and AI-assisted software development.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based applications.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications with product owners and engineers.
• Apply architectural standards, security guidelines, and engineering practices.
• Use AI tools and prompt engineering across development, testing, documentation, and debugging.
• Perform code reviews, testing, deployments, monitoring, and incident response.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, workflows, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, research, proof-of-concepts, planning, and documentation.

What you'll need

• 4–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java 8 or higher and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Azure Public Cloud, microservices, RESTful APIs, and DevOps.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, SQL, and data modeling.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Understanding of TDD, BDD, application security, and cloud-native development.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, data pipelines, ETL, Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, LangChain, or Semantic Kernel.
