Overview
Software Engineer II for work on Mission Critical Voice, Data, and Video communications with 3GPP standard compliance in the Unified User Experience Engineering (UXE) team.
What you'll do
- Analyze, develop, design, and maintain software for organization products and systems.
- Perform system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency.
- Work with customers to integrate with MSI Mission Critical Server using 3GPP-based interfaces.
- Develop, validate, and test software and produce structures and user documentation.
- Facilitate integration of 3GPP Mission Critical Services (MCS) features for partners and customers.
What you'll need
- Hands-on 6-8 years of development experience using C or C++ on Windows or Linux/Unix.
- Understanding of VoIP architecture, protocols, standards, and applications (SIP/RTP/RTCP/SRTP/Sockets/HTTP).
- Full understanding of compile/build tools in Linux, Android, iOS, or Windows environments.
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols/technologies including HTTP, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SSL, and Firewall/NAT.
- Knowledge of WPF/HTTP/ECC/OIDC/XML/JSON/C++/Git.
- Knowledge of VoIP/video streaming fundamentals and multithreaded applications.
Nice to have
- Debugging experience using Wireshark/tcpdump and strong understanding of VoIP architecture and standards.
- Familiarity with 3GPP Mission Critical Standards and IETF RFCs.
- Knowledge of video streaming/application development encryption/security (AES-GCM, MIKEY-SAKKE, XML Signature/XML encryption).
- Familiarity with Azure cloud environments and tools.
- Knowledge of databases and database interactions.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
- Experience in agile/scrum process.
