Software Engineer III (Backend)

Overview

Design, build and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs that power 6sense's AI-driven platform, working closely with engineering, product and cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Build robust, reliable, and production-grade applications.
• Contribute to the architecture and development of services, frameworks, and distributed systems.
• Drive technical solutions and participate in system design discussions.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
• Identify opportunities for improving system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend development focus.
• Strong programming experience in Java & Spring Boot.
• Experience building scalable APIs and backend systems.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable technical solutions.
• Experience contributing to system design and architectural decisions.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Python and React.
• Experience working in high-growth SaaS environments.
• Experience with data platforms, event-based systems, or large-scale data processing environments.
• Familiarity with building AI/ML-enabled products or platforms.
