Software Engineer: Python, Automation, Networking | 7+ Yrs | BLR

Overview

Software Engineer role focused on Python, test automation, and validating Cisco ACI fabric networking and programmability. You will design, execute, and validate comprehensive test plans and troubleshoot issues across development and production.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute test plans and cases for Cisco ACI features including fabric deployment, management, monitoring, and automation.
• Validate Cisco ACI fabric infrastructure including leaf/spine topology, APIC controllers, and fabric initialization.
• Test integrations with virtualization platforms (VMware vCenter, OpenShift, Kubernetes) and container networking interfaces.
• Ensure quality of automation workflows and APIs including RESTful API and CobraSDK for fabric programmability.
• Collaborate to improve test automation frameworks and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Debug and address software issues during development and in production systems.

What you'll need

• Bachelors + 7 years OR Masters + 4 years OR PhD + 1 year related experience.
• Solid conceptual and practical knowledge in networking products.
• Experience with data center networking protocols and technologies including VXLAN, MP-BGP EVPN, and L2/L3 connectivity.
• Automation tools and scripting experience using Python and REST APIs.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex network and software issues.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and continuous integration processes.
