Software Engineering Manager

Overview

Software Engineering Manager to found and bootstrap a new Engineering team (“Core Frontier”) in Bengaluru and help deliver a seamless product experience for end users.

What you'll do

• Hire and bootstrap the Core Frontier team in Bengaluru.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with Product, Security, Design, Architecture, and QA.
• Adapt engineering processes to keep the team agile, healthy, and high-performing.
• Prioritize the roadmap with stakeholders and provide technical clarity.
• Run people and team management activities including coaching, 1:1s, and performance reviews.
• Stay hands-on with code reviews, architectural discussions, and contributing to the codebase.

What you'll need

• 10+ years total experience, including 3+ years in engineering management.
• Prior strong individual contributor foundation (typically 5+ years).
• Experience leading teams building reliable, secure, and scalable distributed systems.
• Track record of coaching engineers and fostering technical growth.
• Ability to communicate effectively across different time zones and functions.
• Ownership mindset for tackling technical and organizational challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Identity and Access Management (IAM) domain.
• Experience with Node.js and AWS stack.
• Experience designing and maintaining public-facing, secure APIs.
