Software Product Manager

Overview

Software Product Manager responsible for helping deliver software solutions that meet user needs and business objectives. The role translates user needs and market trends into product requirements, tracks product metrics and feedback, and supports product strategy, documentation, and compliance.

What you'll do

• Assist in development and implementation of product design using standard procedures.
• Support product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned software products or features.
• Define and measure key product metrics using data-driven insights.
• Help assess consequences of product issues related to performance, acceptance, risk, compliance, and manufacturability.
• Support research, development, and deployment of software solutions with hands-on work.
• Document detailed requirements for engineering to implement the product.
• Act as the voice of the customer by advocating user needs and meeting expectations.

What you'll need

• Typically requires a four-year degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or commensurate experience.
• Typically has 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in product management or related areas.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Working knowledge of JIRA.
• Experience with Kanban principles.
• Understanding of Scrum (software development).
• Skills in project planning/schedules and milestones (project management).
