Software Team Leader

Overview

Lead an engineering team while contributing approximately 50% hands-on development. Own delivery, people management, agile execution, stakeholder communication, and technical quality.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end delivery, timelines, quality, and commitments.
• Lead release and season planning with product and business stakeholders.
• Drive sprint execution and agile ceremonies.
• Manage career development, performance reviews, resources, leave planning, and vendors.
• Coordinate team communication, escalations, and stakeholder updates.
• Contribute to coding, design, and code reviews.
• Uphold code quality, security, and performance standards.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of development experience in Java and/or Angular.
• 2+ years of experience in technical design and solutioning.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Knowledge of design patterns, coding best practices, and scalable systems.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Understanding of secure coding and vulnerability management.

Nice to have

• Agile or Scrum experience.
• Oil and Gas domain exposure, preferably E&P.
• Experience balancing hands-on development and leadership.
• Exposure to AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot.
